The Green Mixed Media Treasure Box

I am a huge fan of boxes ever since I was a little girl. I remember my mom arguing with me for always saving al kind of boxes. I felt like I had to adopt every single box that I touch ...lol.  

When I discovered that you can actually make your own box, It was like in a dream. 

That is what I love about Eileen Hull's Scoreboard Dies from Sizzix. You can make your own box out of so many materials. 

 

I started  this box by first designing my own paper. I used recycled paper from my printer. Using a @gelpress printing plate with acrylic paint I started printing my own paper. I added layers over layers of paint creating different patterns. 

When done with the background layers I added some gold flower details, using acrylic paint and Eileen Hull's  Watercolour Flowers & Lattice Stencil. 

Using the same paper  and Eileen Hull's Painterly Blooms & Background Thinlits Die by Sizzix , I did some 3d flowers. It is amazing how they look. So much texture, color and patterns.  

With the remaining paper I did some cards to go with the Treasure Box. It is a great present for that special one. I really enjoyed making this project.

It's Christmas Time - Mini Album

La Navidad es una de mis épocas favoritas. Diseñé este "mini album" utilizando mis colores favoritos para esta época: rojo, verde, blanco, plateado y dorado.

- Utilizando el Book Passport die y el chipboard, cortar las piezas de el mini album. 

- Utilizando papel de diseño , cortar nuevamente todas las piezas.

Instructions

- Die cut all the passport pieces out of heavy weight chipboard.

- Die cut all the passport pieces out of patterned paper.

   -Solapa: utilizando cardstock New England Ivy cortar 2 piezas 

    tamaño 3 1/8" X 2 3/4"

   -Hacer "score" a 1/4" para formar los "flaps" o solapas (ver foto)

- Use the Corner Chomper to round 2 of the tag's corners. Do the same with the patterned paper. 

- You can add as many tags as you want.

Pascuas

  - Utilizando el Cartridge de la Cricut "Flower Market" exclusivo de Close To My Heart, cortar 3  pascuas tamaño 2 1/2".

  - Adherir todas las piezas para formar las pascuas. 

  - Aplicar poca agua con un atomizador y colocar la flor boca abajo para secar.

  - Cuando esté solamente un poco húmeda voltear la flor y darle la forma deseada. 

  - Colocar nuevamente boca a bajo y dejar secar completamente. 

  - Como toque final añadirle unas pinceladas doradas con el Gold Shimmer Brush de Close To My Heart.

Poinsettias

  -Using Close To My Heart's exclusive Cricut Cartridge "Flower Market" cut 3 poinsettias size 21/2"

  -Adhere all the pieces to form the poinsettias. 

  -Add some water with a spray bottle. Set the poinsettias upside down to dry. 

  -Before they are completely dry , just with a bit of moisture, start giving them the desired shape. 

  -Set them upside down again until completely dry. 

  -Use Close To My Heart's Gold Shimmer Brush to add details to the flower.
