Taller de Gel Printing

Les invito al taller más esperado. Taller de Gel Printing auspiciado por @gelpress . Aprenderemos muchas técnicas de diseñar tus propios papeles utilizándo los "gel plates". No necesitas experiencia previa. Iremos paso a paso. Aprenderás muchas técnicas .

Trabajar con los "gel plates" es una experiencia relajante y muy gratificante cuando veas todo lo que puedes hacer.

Trabajaremos un pequeño "journal" utilizándo dies / troqueles de @eileenhull

y @sizzix el cuál nos servirá de "storage" de los papeles ya pintados.

Es un curso totalmente nuevo.

¿Qué incluye el kit?

" Gel Plate " tamaño 6" X 6" ,
"Brayer"
plancha de "Plexiglass" 8" X 10" que sirve para transportar y/o mover con facilidad el "gel plate" lo que facilitará ciertas técnicas de pintar.
Variedad de stencils.
materiales para hacer el mini "journal".
Todo lo incluído en el kit será completamente tuyo de forma tal que una vez finalice la clase podrás seguir practicándo en tu casa.

Tendremos pinturas acrîlicas para compartir. Si quieres traer tus propias pinturas lo puedes hacer pero no es necesario.

Pega líquida y varios Glue Sticks
Tijera
regla
Pañitos húmedos - Chubs
guillotina
Blower para secado, puede ser Craft Heat Gun o blower de pelo. NO se puede utilizar el Heat Embosser por su alta temperatura. El blower es para acelerar el secado de los papeles. Si utilizamos uno con alta temperatura podemos hacerle daño al gel plate.

Opcional :

Te incluimos un Gel Plate tamaño 6 X 6 , si por casualidad tienes gel plates adicionales los puedes traer.
Tenemos pinturas para compartir en clase pero si tienes pinturas y prefieres usarlas la puedes traer.
Siempre es bueno traer un lápiz o bolígrafo para hacer anotaciones.

The Green Mixed Media Treasure Box

I am a huge fan of boxes ever since I was a little girl. I remember my mom arguing with me for always saving al kind of boxes. I felt like I had to adopt every single box that I touch ...lol.

When I discovered that you can actually make your own box, It was like in a dream.

That is what I love about Eileen Hull's Scoreboard Dies from Sizzix. You can make your own box out of so many materials.

I started this box by first designing my own paper. I used recycled paper from my printer. Using a @gelpress printing plate with acrylic paint I started printing my own paper. I added layers over layers of paint creating different patterns.

When done with the background layers I added some gold flower details, using acrylic paint and Eileen Hull's Watercolour Flowers & Lattice Stencil.

Using the same paper and Eileen Hull's Painterly Blooms & Background Thinlits Die by Sizzix , I did some 3d flowers. It is amazing how they look. So much texture, color and patterns.

With the remaining paper I did some cards to go with the Treasure Box. It is a great present for that special one. I really enjoyed making this project.

Eileen Hull - Chapter 2 - March 2024 Release Party

Another great release !!!! The dies are so incredible. They are SO easy to put together. I love making 3d projects and the Storage Box is the perfect one.

But I also love making books and the Mini Book Die is such a great one. So cute and easy to put together. There are so many possibilities.

Here is one of my Storage Box Project. I started by making my own washi tape. I did it gel printing recycled paper using a gel printing plate. After creating the washi tape I assembled the box and covered it all with my washi tape. Including the inside of te box and the lid. I wish you could see it in person. It looks great.

I did the flowers by hand one by one. I wanted to give it a wow look !!!

And to add more interest I decided to do a snippet roll that will go along with the theme and the color scheme of the box. I LOVED it all. It took me time , I enjoyed it so much, but I do love the final result. I can say it is one of my favorite piece of art. I truly hope that many people get the chance to see it and appreciate it up close.

I will be sharing many more projects using Eileen Hull's Chapter 3 dies. Of course many boxes and mini books besides more ideas for different projects.

icad challenge 2023 - icad # 45 / 61

Start your day with a “Smile”. I like all that is going on with this iCad. Let’s start with the background. Using a @gelpress printing plate with @decoart paints I added some ‘ visual texture ‘. On top of dad I stamped and embossed some mandalas. For that I used @ranger_ink white embossing powder. Then I added some rub- ons . For the frame around the iCad I use @stabilo black Aquarellable pencil.

Icad Challenge 2023 - icad # 44 / 61

This is a very elaborated iCad. I spend quite some time making it. Starting with the background I used a @gelpress plate with @decoart paints . Also used @tcwstencils . On top of that I added layers of collage fodder. To the top left there is like a quarter of a circle . That is a coffee filter painted like the background but with different Decoart paint colors. Also I added some elements painted with my own designed paint rolls. To the right there are 2 mandalas. They are a result of many layers of paint. After that I cut them out of cardstock. Inside of the 2 mandalas there is a half circle. This one was done first using a stamp and embossing it with @ranger_ink white embossing powder. To finish it all I added some @tcwstencils White Pearl Modeling Paste.
Wow !!! It is amazing how much you can do with an index card in such a small format.

This is a simple iCad. The background was done using @gelpress printing plate with @decoart paints on watercolor paper. I used black and white @poscaoficial pen for details.
