Black and White Circle Photo Album

Getting out of my comfort zone. You all know that I love using lots of colors and textures. When I saw @eileenhull new dies, stamps and stencils collection I said “let’s do a monochromatic “ project. It was not easy, actually it was quite a challenge for me. But I did it and love the outcome.

Scrapbook.com Christmas in july with eileen hull's exclusive dies - Mini Album with Wood Ornament -








This is one of the projects that I designed and did for this release. As you al know I love making 3d projects and mini books / albums. I wanted to use the Card Caddy Die in a different way. It occurred to me to used it as the base for a mini photo album. 

I did cut white chipboard with the Card Caddy Die. Then I cut the designed paper with the same die. I cut each page a little shorter than the chipboard base just to have that little white showing to make a white border. 

For embellishment I used the rest of the dies from the release. My favorite are the ones that I cut with foiled cardstock. It looks like metal. Love the shinny metal looking.

A walk through the “Romantic Album”.


 



A walk through the “Romantic Album”. This was done for @eileenhull Chapter 3 release. There are so many details that walk through was needed.

Eileen Hull Chapter 2 - Marine Tag Album

 













For this album I used Eileen Hull Card Case Die  666278 from Sizzix. Believe it or not I used napkins to cover the mat board and give it that beautiful marine look. With the napkins I use ModPodge. I also cover the whole album with a thin coat of ModPodge as a protective coat. 

I also used Tim Holtz Vintage photo Ink Pad to give it a kind of distress look. For the metal closure I used Tim Holtz acrylic paints from Ranger to give it a cohesive look that will match with the album overall look and theme. 

The idea of this album was to make a different type of photo album using the tags. You can add more as needed. The pockets are great to storage the tags.

So in love with this new book. It took me a while because I wanted to experiment with different materials and mixed media techniques. 

First of all To make the book I used @eileenhull Pocket Journal Die from @sizzix . To cover the base instead of using pattern paper I used paper napkins. Thanks to Eileen for sending such beautiful napkin collection. The napkin background was white. So I decided to use @tim_holtz Distress Paints from @ranger_ink to give it like a tint and sparkle. I use Tarnished Brass and Brushed Pewter. I did a dry brush technique. You just need a drop of the paint . A little bit goes a long way. 

For the cover I did the butterfly and the flourish using @primamarketinginc Redesign Mold Baroque Swirls and Butterfly in Flight with @jovi_es Air Dry Clay. Some of the laces are from old dresses and blouses. Some are old ones from Prima Marketing. The accordion mini album is done using fabric from old curtains.

Repurposing that is me .

Me encanta hacer "Mini Albums" utilizando Eileen Hull Dies.  Para este mini album utilicé específicamente el die de Eileen, "Journal Die". Los materiales utilizados son de Close To My Heart. 

Este album es para fotos y también se pueden documentar o guardar otras cositas pues  hay espacio provisto para esto.
