I did this mini journal using @eileenhull Mini Book die from @sizzix .
It is all made from recycled materials. For the cover I used one of the @amazon shipping boxes. I exposed the corrugated layer of the box to give it some visual interest. I added some @primamarketinginc Waxes . For a gold metal look I added some Gold Rose @sizzix Luster Wax ( it is not showing that well in the photo). I did the front cover embellishment using my @cricut Maker.
For the inside I did 3 booklets which I book bound using waxed thread. The booklet pages are done from recycled paper. I painted them using my favorite @gelpress printing plate with acrylic paint. I am planning on using this mini book to write inspirational quotes.

So in love with this new book. It took me a while because I wanted to experiment with different materials and mixed media techniques. 

First of all To make the book I used @eileenhull Pocket Journal Die from @sizzix . To cover the base instead of using pattern paper I used paper napkins. Thanks to Eileen for sending such beautiful napkin collection. The napkin background was white. So I decided to use @tim_holtz Distress Paints from @ranger_ink to give it like a tint and sparkle. I use Tarnished Brass and Brushed Pewter. I did a dry brush technique. You just need a drop of the paint . A little bit goes a long way. 

For the cover I did the butterfly and the flourish using @primamarketinginc Redesign Mold Baroque Swirls and Butterfly in Flight with @jovi_es Air Dry Clay. Some of the laces are from old dresses and blouses. Some are old ones from Prima Marketing. The accordion mini album is done using fabric from old curtains.

Pulsera - Grabando mis propios diseños

 

Me encanta poder grabar mis propios diseños en metal. En la Clase Online Avanzada de Cricut Maker enseño las técnicas de como hacerlo y como trabajar la prenda. 

Brazalete Grabado utilizando la Cricut Maker

Diseñé estos brazaletes utilizando el programa Design Space de Cricut.

Para grabar el diseño en el brazalete, utilicé el " Engraving Tip " de Cricut. Esta herramienta se utiliza únicamente con la Cricut Maker. Debes convertir en "engrave" el diseño completo de forma tal que la Cricut entienda que vá a ser grabado.

Una vez que conviertes el diseño debes dar "Attach" para que el diseño completo se mantenga en su lugar.

Es importante que el "mat" sea el de "Strongrip" de Cricut ya que el proceso de grabar en metal , los movimientos son de bastante fuerza.

Puedes utilizar material metálico de 1/16" de espezor. Recuerda rodar las rueditas blancas del rolo de la Cricut hacia la derecha. Esto para que no te deje marcas en la pieza de metal.

Prestar atención a que selecciones el material correcto en la Cricut al momento de cortar. Para esto vé a donde dice "Custom". Encontrarás varias opciones. Para los brazaletes yo utilicé "metal / aluminum sheet".

También recomiendo utilizar "Painter's Tape" para fijar y asegurar la pieza que se grabará. El proceso de grabado es bastante rápido. Dependerá de cuan elaborado sea el diseño.


Prácticamente graba todo lo que puedas diseñar en el programa "Design Space".
